Initial Ideas
- Further focus on the idea that time is relative (general relativity) – time can stretch and squeeze
- In terms of Memory -events/moments that are short (blink of an eye) unfurl and feel longer as we try to remember them vs events/moments that long are compressed away and harder to remember
- actual experience of the event vs the memory of the event
- Brain time – we experience time differently in the moment (now) from how we experience time retrospectively (past events)
- Repetition/routine – uses lower brain activity and so time feels longer and dragged out
- Aspects I can work with to do with memory and time
- Superimposed – placed or laid over something else, typically so that both things are still evident – another method of layer – to show the complexities of memory

Final maquette. The projection on the multiple layers of fabric worked really well at distorting the underworld section. The perspex also worked well at reflecting surfaces yet also allowing some views into the underworld. I was also really happy with the transitions from bedroom to underworld as it feels as though you are drawn into the dark mysterious other side of the installation
